To Promote and Expand the Circular Economy Model

Our integrated farm moves away from traditional intensive production systems giving the animals the space and attention they deserve in exchange for the products they offer us every day. We move away from linear waste management (use and throw away) and adopt the circular economy as our production and consumption model. We work to repair, reuse, renew, and recycle existing materials and products as many times as possible to extend their life cycle and create added value.

We make the most of all food

Following the principles of the circular economy we take advantage of each product and by-product in different areas. We do this in such a way that the utilization and use of waste occurs at all points by having a multiplicity of productive activities: pigs, dairy cattle, laying hens, biogas production, and vermicompost (worm compost). Our visitors can learn about these activities through different experiences offered on guided tours: 

  • Human and animal waste for the biodigester and vermicompost
  • Eggshells for composting
  • Pig feed waste
  • Fruit and vegetable peel waste for cows and vermicompost
  • Excrement compost to reincorporate organic matter in the gardens
  • Demonstrational farm and garden tour
